In the late 1870ƒ??s, In order to impress the royal English family, the Maharaja of Jaipur painted the entire city pink as it was a colour that represents welcoming and hospitality. His wife loved the colour and had him pass a law that made it illegal for the buildings to be painted any other colour.?ÿ
Jaipur is best described as a deep and bold pink, bright but not hot.
