This beautiful dusky purple mauve is inspired by and named after the desert that spans Chile & Peru, the Atacama desert. Known as one of the driest places on earth, Atacama is also famous for its rainbow valleys, view of the Milky Way and the vibrant purple wildflowers that form every few years from the minimal rainfall the desert gets and inspired this color.
This color is best described as an opaque deep rosy purple.
