This nude colour was inspired by the sandy capital of Iraq, Baghdad [buhg-dad] . Once known as the worldƒ??s ƒ??centre of learningƒ? and the largest city of the Middle Ages, the city was significantly destroyed by the Mongols in the 13th century and then again by the 2003 Invasion of Iraq. Though many of the cultural and historical pieces of the city are gone, there are still some that stand today, like the Al-Khulafa Mosque. This 10th century mosque dates back to the Abbasid era and its sand-toned architecture is the main inspiration for the color.
Baghdad is best described as a sandy beige-nude, opaque in just one coat
