The Mezquita-Cathedral has been a place of worship for ancient Romans, Muslims, and Catholics over the course of history and considered a wonder of Moorish architecture with its peppermint-striped voussoirs. The flower festival, Fiesta de los Patios, is where the residents open their private patios to the public, revealing fluorescent flowers and fragrant fruit trees, a tradition in place for over 100 years.
